The Milford is the latest incarnation and evolution of what is one of the oldest operating commercial buildings in the County.
Built in 1827 “The Milford” is housed in a piece of history.
The original salt box and general store operated for well over 150 years. In the early nineties the kitchen hood fan and bar were added and the old store became ” The Coffee Gallery” . Chef Michael Potter opened The Milford Bistro in ’98 with the help of The Food Network and the rest is history. The Bistro instantly became a hit with the Toronto and Montreal folks summering in the county and Michael made the place famous. The Bistro has continued to operate over the years, with a commitment to local fresh fare with creative delivery.
Michael Lavelle purchased the building and the Bistro in 2013 and in the summer of 2017 established “The Milford”, with the addition of a licensed patio and deck.
We invite you to enjoy the patio which features burgers, smoked BBQ and local beer, cider and wine.
Our patio is pet- and family-friendly and follows all health guidelines.
